Parenting doesn’t come with a handbook. So it’s so comforting to know that other mothers experience the same doubts, fears and challenges. Hearing the stories of others helps us to learn to love ourselves. And to be encouraged in our family relationship journey.

The Treasuring Mothers podcast is amazing, as it enables more mums to be reached and impacted, encouraged and empowered. And all for one of the toughest jobs in the world, that is, to raise the next generation. We need all the help we can get!

The motherhood podcast initiated by Jenny Baxter could become a beacon of light. I think it will be a navigational point to assist mothers through their journey. As a result, the program has scope to foster belonging, healing, connectedness and resilience. So it will benefit mothers, and enhance the lives of their children. In addition, it will enrich extended families and strengthen the fabric of our community as a whole.

As mothers it’s important to receive nourishment, nurture and value. We juggle careers, multiple school and extracurricular activities, manage a household and (let’s face it) the lion’s share of housework. But we also need reassurance that we’re not alone. Because the challenges we face are not insurmountable. And neither are they unique to us.
Also, we mothers are too often ill-equipped as we enter this season. We can be unaware of the extent to which the presence/absence of our own mother’s actions influences our mothering styles. So the Treasuring Mothers podcast gives an opportunity to hear full-circle stories of mothers.
